Using 360 visuals and 3D sound, Dungeons & Damper: Inside the D20 told a story of First Nations Lore within a Dungeons & Dragons context for Vivid Sydney 2026. Now, sit with the creators as they share insider knowledge on how this story was brought to life.
Join the team as they present all aspects of how this story was created. Exploring the writing and directing process, creative tech analysis, cinematography, animation, sound design and editing; showcasing how each department utilised their skills to fundamentally shape this story.
This discussion will be focusing on how the creators adapted standard filmmaking techniques to tell this story on a platform that breaks the rules of industry education. Learn how this story was told on a microbudget, what cultural considerations were made, how the story was designed for the innovative technology used, and how you can do the same.
Join Wonnarua Writer/Director duo, Maddison and George Coles, Isaiah Stewart from animation studio Studio Gilay (COOKED), Writer/Editor Jacob Fitzgerald, Creative Technology Consultant Maddie Duncan,
Award winning Sound Designer Nathan Turnbull, and AFTRS Master of Arts Screen: Cinematography student Sanjana Pai, as they discuss how they created the wonderful world of Dungeons & Damper: Inside the D20.
This discussion will be followed by a Q&A and a casual catch-up at the Beacham.
