Please join us for the Sydney ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter’s Annual General Meeting followed by a special sneak-peek at UTS ALA’s VFX short, ‘Occupational Hazard’.
We will kick off the evening with the re-election of the Treasurer and Secretary. As part of this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Sydney Siggraph Chapter, join the leads from the UTS Animal Logic Academy to hear a first-hand breakdown of the student visual effects project ‘Occupational Hazard’.
Raphael Gadot (FX) and Ross Anderson (3D) will be giving their insights on the production of the project, including working with a student team on a micro-budget production, investigating machine learning opportunities in the FX pipeline, and shooting the whole production on the iPhone 15. In addition to the screening of the finished film, Ross and Raph will be showing breakdowns and BTS material. This will be followed by a casual catch-up with our SIGGRAPH community at Cafe 80 nearby.
